NIH - Exercise Prevents Cancer Incidence and Recurrence

In a November 2022 release by the National Library of Medicine, there is new research showing physical exercise prevents cancer incidence and recurrence. The significance of this research is summarized here:

"Exercise protects against cancer progression and metastasis by inducing a high nutrient demand in internal organs, indicating that reducing nutrient availability to tumor cells represents a potential strategy to prevent metastasis."

PHIT America has long pioneered the 12 Benefits of Physical Activity and 'Reducing the chance of caner' is listed as one of these.

PHIT America Founder, Jim Baugh, is excited about this new research. "Physical activity is the 'Miracle Drug' and this new research shows why we must increase kids physical activity for improved physical and mental health".
